A little about Britt

Driven by a deep sense of curiosity, Britt has worked across many design disciplines including, editorial design, graphic design, web design and design research. With a passion for connecting with people, Britt landed on UX design as a medium. She utilises her broad toolkit to match user needs with creative direction.

What do you do?

I make decisions based on really good research, that means talking to the people who use the products and distilling it to make useful product decisions. I mainly work on digital products but have a wide range of design mediums in my arsenal.

Why do you do it?

I love working with people, its built into the name. I am also invested in sustainable decision making and by making sure the things we make are considerate of the people who use them we ensure we are using our resources wisely and therefore the output is more sustainable and long lasting.

What does it mean to be a UX designer?

Being really good at listening to people. Knowing how to communicate needs to stakeholders and builders. Letting go of your ego. Thriving in ambiguity and collaborating on the right solution.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Doing lots of things. Hopefully I will be living in a co-housing community with my friends, tending to our shared gardens.
